Four arrested for New Bern armed robbery

NEW BERN, N.C. -

Four men have been arrested and charged with the armed robbery that occurred on August 26, 2013. Police say a man and a woman were robbed at gunpoint while walking along the waterfront behind the New Bern Convention Center.

On September 7, 2013 the New Bern Police Department arrested Landre Tamas Newsome, 19, of Cove City and Doshe Cowan Best, 36, of New Bern and charged them with one count of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon. They were then confined in the Craven County Jail under a $100,000 secured bond.

On September 9, 2013 the New Bern Police Department arrested Jamal Trevon Edwards, 16, of New Bern. Edwards, is charged with one count of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Edwards was confined in Craven County Jail under a $35, 00 secured bond.

Also on September 9, 2013 the New Bern Police Department arrested Jaques Deandre Nelson, 19, New Bern. Nelson was charged with one count of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Nelson was confined in Craven County Jail under a $1,150,000 secured bond.
