President Barack Obama will welcome the Emir of Kuwait to the White House today. The emir, whose country is a key American ally in the Persian Gulf and the president are expected to discuss continuing economic ties between the two countries and security concerns for the middle east.

Three friends of accused Boston marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev will be arraigned together today after being accused of hindering the investigation by taking a backpack and laptop from Tsarnaev's dorm room after the incident. The three were arraigned before but the new indictment charges all three together which requires a new hearing.

Liberty University's annual Civil War Seminar starts today on campus. Exhibits of Civil War artifacts and memorabilia will be on display and speakers will cover various topics.

The NRV Christian Events 2-day Festival starts tonight at 6:00 p.m.. The event at Bisset Park aims to promote unity among local churches.
