UPDATE: Angela Nolen, the former Franklin County teacher convicted of attempting to hire a hitman to kill her ex-husband, is sentenced to 8 years in prison.

She was originally sentenced to 25 years but all were suspended except 8 years.

Nolen is also required to do 2,000 hours of community service to help teach people in jail. The community service must be completed no later than three years after her probation.

A former Franklin County teacher will learn her sentence this morning after attempting to hire a hitman to kill her ex-husband.

Angela Nolen plead guilty to the charge in June.

Franklin County Commonwealth Attorney Tim Allen said it's hard to predict what sentence Nolen will receive since they don't have a similar case to compare it to.

Cathy Bennett, who plead guilty to helping Nolen find a hitman, will be sentenced in October.

Nolen's hearing is set for 10 a.m. in Franklin County Circuit Court.
