Mike Moses is the owner of David's good Food.

And he has been since 2006. Before that he earned his deli-chops at another Roanoke area business.

"I spent 28 years at the New Yorker delicatessen," says Mike as he speeds by with his hands full of sandwiches bound for a box headed for Hollins University.

One of the first things you notice when you walk in the door is that Mike never slows down. And he doesn't let anything get in the way.

It's something customers love about him.

Carlin question: "Kinda Like the Soup Nazi?" Yeah, just about that. That's a good example. Probably got a Kramer around here somewhere," laughs Richard Gluth a three-day-a-week customer.

And there are plenty of customers. And plenty of regulars.

Greg Gereaux says he comes in, "a couple of times a week." His meal this day? " I'm having a Lindsey beef with cheddar and horseradish. (they are) Not allergic to giving you meat. Plenty of food and it's a good flavor combination. Everything is about the combination on the sandwiches," he said.

If you want to try the food -- and the fast and furious atmosphere… David's Good Food, isn't open nights or weekends, but they do cater and deliver.

By the way – late this year or early next year the name of the business will change from David's Good Food to Mike's Deli.
