The driver of an 18-wheeler that clipped another car- sending its driver to the hospital - will face no charges, a spokesperson for the Mississippi Highway Patrol said.
The truck driver was not aware he caused the crash and drove 8 miles from the scene before he was questioned by authorities, MHP Trooper Eric Henry said.
It happened Saturday in Star. Both vehicles in the crash were headed Southbound of Highway 49.
The 18-wheeler reportedly merged into the lane occupied by the Toyota Camry owned by 29-year-old Kaysee Counts of Magee.
Her car was pushed into the median. An ambulance brought her to UMC. Her injuries are not life-threatening, Henry said.
The 18-wheeler driver, Herbert Hall of Mobile, was found at the D'Lo Truck stop. He told authorities he "did not know he made contact with the Toyota Camry".
