Enthusiastic Hillside welcomes WNCN

Posted: Updated:
DURHAM, N.C. -

WNCN was on the road to Durham's Hillside High Friday morning, and a wet day didn't dampen the enthusiasm of the Hornets crowd.

WNCN Today anchor Page Crawford was greeted by a big throng inside the Hillside gym as the Hornets rang in another day of high school football. Hillside plays local rival Jordan tonight at home. Hillside is 3-2 and Jordan is 1-5.

The Hillside dance team, band, cheerleaders, students and faculty were on hand for Friday's event. Highlights of tonight's game will appear on the WNCN news at 11 p.m.

WNCN Today goes on the road every Friday to crank up excitement for high school football and to showcase the best of our local high schools. So far this year, WNCN Today has visited Millbrook, Garner, Cardinal Gibbons and Cary.

Be sure to follow the excitement every Friday on Twitter at #WNCNBlitz.
