Investigators ask hunters to be on the look out for missing teen Alexis Murphy

Posted: Updated:

Hunters across the state are being asked to help in the search for 17-year-old Alexis Murphy.

It's just a little more than two months since the Nelson County teen went missing.

Many hunters are already taking part in archery bear, turkey, and deer season and with the upcoming general firearm deer season set to start, investigators say it's an important opportunity to help in the search for Alexis Murphy.

Lead Nelson County investigator Billy Mays says several search teams have already combed lots of areas looking for information that would help with the case.

Mays says they need the extra set of eyes to help.
