Fourth anniversary of Morgan Harrington's abduction & murder, family believes killer still out there

Posted: Updated:

Thursday marks four years since 20-year-old Morgan Harrington was abducted and later murdered after attending a Metallica concert in Charlottesville.

Parents, Gil and Dan Harrington, joined other supporters in Charlottesville at the Morgan Memorial on Copeley Bridge.

The family discussed the need for justice in Morgan's murder. Police still have not named a suspect in the case. The family believes there is still a killer on the loose. They hope to also raise awareness about the 3 other missing girls in the Charlottesville region.

One of those young girls includes 17-year-old Alexis Murphy from Nelson County. Her mother, Laura, was at the anniversary event. Both families pleaded with the public for tips in each of their daughters cases.

The Virginia Tech Help Save The Next Girl chapter has created a new PSA to raise awareness about violence against women. Click here to watch.
