Wake Forest High welcomes WNCN Friday morning

Posted: Updated:
WAKE FOREST, N.C. -

It was Wake Forest High's turn to be live on WNCN Friday morning, and the Cougars didn't disappoint with a rabid turnout early in the morning.

WNCN's Page Crawford was on the scene as enthusiastic students poured out for a chance to join the event.

The Wake Forest band was on display, as were cheerleaders, the football team and, of course, the Cougar mascot.

Meanwhile, students took to the field to display the words "Fear the Forest" as tonight's game with rival Heritage approaches. The game is tonight at 7 p.m.

Wake Forest is 6-1 this season as it continues to be one of the area's strongest programs. The Cougars are looking to bounce back from last week's 32-26 loss to Wakefield.

Be sure to watch highlights of the contest tonight on WNCN News at 11 p.m.
