RALEIGH, N.C. -

A Raleigh man is charged with nine counts of sexual exploitation of a minor after police say he took photos of children in the men's room at the North Carolina State Fair.

Paul William Fantz, 30, is charged with nine counts each of possessing a photographic image from a peep, second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, and installing or using a photographic device in a room.

Deputies with the Wake County Sheriff's Office say Fantz took photos of 5- to 10-year-old boys in the men's bathroom at the N.C. State Fair on Oct. 22 and 27.

Warrants for his arrest say he used a cellphone to take photos of the children urinating in the bathroom.

The warrants say Fantz used the images "for the purpose of arousing and gratifying" himself.

Fantz was arrested Monday and being held at the Wake County Jail under a $500,000 bond,
