Jeff Gordon may have saved face for NASCAR and those in charge of making the decisions to ad him to the Chase as the 13th member.

Since the chase started Gordon has inched his way up the point's standings where he now sits third, and has one win.

That win came yesterday at Martinsville where he passed matt Kenseth in the closing laps to secure his eighth grandfather clock, tying him with Jimmie Johnson with most wins at the track by an active driver.
