Intoxicated woman gets hit by car, police issue citation

GREENVILLE, N.C. -

Greenville Police cite a woman walking on 10th street after she gets hit by a car.

Officers say it happened  early Sunday morning. Police say a woman had been drinking and wandering into the middle of 10th Street near the Copper Beach Apartment Complex. Officers say while she was walking she was hit by a car. The woman suffered minor injuries and was treated and released from Vidant Medical Center.

Police cited the woman for underage drinking and failing to yield the right way.

The driver of the car does not face charges.
