Pitt Co teacher featured in online education video

GREENVILLE, N.C. - More than 17,000 people have seen a video online featuring a Pitt County Teacher.

Nicki Griffin teaches social studies at South Central High School and last year she sent an educational video into TED-Ed. That’s a non-profit website devoted to spreading awareness about innovators technology and social issues.

TED-Ed posted the video online last week.

“As a teacher, I talk every day. I talk and I lecture and discuss what's important, but it was a whole different thing to see it in that kind of format. So it was very exciting,” said Nicki Griffin.

Griffin says she plans to submit more ideas to TED-Ed in the future.
