NAGS HEAD, N.C. - Police on the Outer Banks have arrested 2 suspects in an armed robbery at an area drug store.

It happened Wednesday morning at the Bear Drugs on S. Croatan Highway in Nags Head.

Nags Head Police tell 9 On Your Side 29-year-old Marcus Allen Heard of Norfolk and 26-year-old Asley-Ann Lucretia Lampkin of Manteo are charged in the incident.

Heard was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, second degree kidnapping, and assault by pointing a gun. He's in the Norfolk City Jail pending an extradition hearing. Lampkin was charged with aiding and abetting an armed robbery. She's under a $25,000 secured bond in the Dare County Detention Center.

Officers believe Heard entered the store armed with a black handgun, demanding money and narcotics. He then fled the store in a faded red minivan, which has since been recovered.

If you have any information about the incident, contact Nags Head Police at 252.441.6386 or the Dare County Community Crime Line at 252.473.3111.
