House for sale destroyed in suspicious fire

GREENVILLE, N.C. -

A suspicious fire destroyed a Pitt County home that’s up for sale.

Pitt County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Christy Wallace confirms the fire happened around 10pm Saturday night at 4134 Blue Eyes Road.

Wallace says the vacant house was up for sale and no one was home at the time.

The home is total loss. The fire is still under investigation.
