According to court officials, state Senator John Horhn waived his appearance in court Monday.
He has a trial date set for July 30, 2014.
Horhn was arrested on a DUI charge hours after hosting a community forum about crime in the capital city November 14th.
Jackson Police say an officer pulled Horhn over for a traffic violation
They say he was swerving on Beasley near Callaway High School, not far from his northwest Jackson home.
The officer says he noticed Horhn appeared to be impaired.
Police say the Jackson legislator was given a breathalyzer, which he failed.
