KINGSPORT, TN (WJHL) -

The Santa Train rolled in to town Saturday.

Every year the Santa Train makes stops from Kentucky to Kingsport handing out presents at each one.

What started off as thirty children getting gifts this morning at the first stop at 5, turned into more than two hundred this afternoon when the train pulled into the Kingsport.

Officials say the goal is to bring Christmas to families who might not otherwise have one.

"It s an experience of a lifetime and it will in some places it may bring a tear to your eye but you feel good in the heart when it's all said and done." Ann Fortney with the Kingsport Chamber of Commerce said.

Country music singer Kree Harrison was the celebrity guest this year.

The arrival of the Santa Train kicked off the annual Kingsport Christmas Parade this year.
