Police investigate attempted break-in at lt. governor's office

RALEIGH, N.C. -

Police say someone tried to break into the Office of the Lieutenant Governor in downtown Raleigh Monday.

Raleigh Police say someone attempted to break into 310 N. Blount St. around 9 p.m. Monday.

State Capitol Police are handling the investigation.

It was not immediately clear if a suspect was in custody.

The Office of the Lieutenant Governor is housed in the historic Hawkins-Hartness House.
