Second arrest made in the shooting of 2 teens in Durham

DURHAM, N.C. -

Durham police said a second arrest has been made in a Dec. 3 shooting that left two teens hospitalized.

Christopher Taylor Johnson, 25, of Durham has been arrested and charged with two counts of attempted murder. Johnson was arrested this afternoon on North Hyde Park Avenue, police said. 

Johnson has been placed in the Durham County Jail under a $5 million bond, according to police.

The shooting took place at a vacant home on Grace Lane Tuesday afternoon shortly before 1:30 p.m. When officer arrived to the scene, they found two teens, 14 and 14 years old, who had been shot and seriously injured.

Officers arrested Thomas Deangelo Griffin, 19, on Dec. 6 and charged him with two counts of attempted murder.

Griffin is in the Durham County Jail under a $1 million bond.

Both teens remain in the hospital in stable condition.
