Vicksburg Police have dropped charges against a security guard in the shooting death of a man at the American Legion Post 3 hall.
Police say the bullet from Michael "Tiger" Robinson's body does not match the gun Michael Thomas was carrying on December 7, the night of the shooting.
Robinson was among three people shot during a party at the hall, where Thomas was providing security. Police originally said Thomas fired his service weapon at least 1 time during an altercation between Robinson, Wade Carter and Charles Brooks. Carter and Brooks were wounded.
Two other men, Morris Davis and David Reed are both charged 2 counts of aggravated assault in connection to the incident.
The second degree murder charge against Thomas has been thrown out. He's now out of jail. Thomas owns T&T Security.
