Tiron Williams, 28, has been arrested and charged with Drive By Shooting and Causing Or Directing A Youth To Commit A Felony.
Vicksburg Police say on Friday, December 13, they received a call about a disturbance at a local school. Investigators were able to determine that the incident was fueled by a drive by shooting that happened the day before in the 1500 block of Ethel Street. Police arrested two juveniles in connection to a drive by shooting at the school. No one was injured in the drive by shooting.
Due to the seriousness of the crime, the two juveniles will be charged as adults, and their case has been turned over to the circuit court. Elijah Qualls, age 14, and DeAundre Trisby, age 13, were taken into custody and placed in the Warren County Detention Center. They both have been charged with drive by shooting.
Investigators have determined that a third person was also involved in the drive by shooting. Police say Tiron Williams, age 28, was found to be the driver of the car used in the drive by shooting. A warrant for Williams' arrest was issued on December 16. Williams appeared for a scheduled court date in municipal court at the Vicksburg Police station and was arrested at 8:30am. Williams was charged with Causing or Directing a Youth to Commit A Felony and Drive By Shooting. A small caliber firearm was recovered. Williams is scheduled to appear before a municipal court judge today, December 18, but may not make the court date due to continuing questioning.
Lieutenant Williams of the Vicksburg Police Department has intentionally not released photos of the juveniles involved in the drive by shooting or the name of the school where the disturbance happened.
