By Ross Adams -
Two Hinds county employees are planning to sue county leaders, alleging that their supervisor subjected them to sexual harassment and sexual assault.
The women claim public works director Carl Frelix pursued them in the workplace even though they resisted his sexual advances.
One of the victim's says Frelix exposed himself, asked for sexual favors and touched her inappropriately. He’s accused of offering to pay the other woman to have sex with him.
The women say the harassment and assault took place for years at the
public works department headquarters in Raymond, and outside the workplace.
After one of the employee’s complained about Frelix’s behavior, she was transferred to another department.
The attorney representing the women says some supervisors may have been aware of allegations against Frelix and did nothing about it.
According to their attorney, the experience left both women emotionally traumatized.
In a statement to news channel 12 Frelix said: "This is a personnel matter. The complaint is being handled by Hinds County like they handle any other complaint."
