The National Weather Service confirms two tornadoes touched down in Central Mississippi Friday evening.
The first occurred in Eastern Warren County. Officials say a brief, EF-0 tornado touched down along the Big Black River and crossed Fisher Ferry Road. Five-to-eight trees had large limbs or part of the trunk broken off. It was on the ground for .6 mile and was 50 yards wide. Max wind was 70 miles-per-hour.
The second tornado, also an EF-0, occurred in Western Hinds County along Charlie Brown Road. One tree was down across the road. Max wind was 65 miles-per-hour.
