Edward Winnicki, age 63, has been charged with murder in the death of another homeless man.
Waveland Police say Edward N. Winnicki Jr., age 63, is a homeless man that has confessed to the murder of David Bourgeois. Bourgeois was another homeless man whose body was found on Christmas night in Waveland, Mississippi.
Mr. Winniki has been charged with Murder and is being held at the Hancock County jail under a $1,000,000 bond which had been set by Waveland Municipal Judge P.J. Mauffray. Police found Mr. Winnicki at the scene the same night the body was found and was arrested on unrelated charges.
Officials say an autopsy performed on December 27th showed that Bourgeois had been stabbed numerous times, but the cause of death was found to be asphyxiation by a foreign object.
The motive for the death is not being given at this time.
The investigation is still considered active and more details and evidence are being collected and analyzed.
