According to parents, their students at John Hopkins Elementary in Jackson have been without heat since Monday. Parents tell us the school hasn't notified them about heating problems at the school. They tell us they found out through their children. "I think it's ridiculous because I had to dress both of my sons in two jackets, a long sleeve shirt, t-shirts and pants." says Tanisha Carter She has two students at John Hopkins. JPS responded to our calls with a statement. Spokesperson Sherwin Johnson says: "There is a delay in activating the heating system at John Hopkins Elementary School. JPS is working diligently to heat the building and apologizes for the inconvenience to parents, students, and staff.
