Thursday evening is the last chance Jackson residents have to attend a town hall meeting regarding the 1% Local Sales Option.

The meeting will be at 6:00 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, 6000 Old Canton Road in Jackson.

The public is invited to participate in the conversation, and city leaders will be there to answer questions.

City officials say the money raised by the higher tax will be used to improve infrastructure.

Jackson residents will vote on the proposal next Tuesday, January 14.
