Find Out If The Water Is Safe Or If There Is A Boil Water Alert

On Thursday, January 9th, WJTV let you know about a boil water alert that is impacting thousands of customers in Pike County.
Total, we are told that alert is affecting 19,431 customers.
Officials in McComb did notify the Mississippi Department of Health of a system-wide pressure loss due to one ore more line breaks.
Because of that, health officials are strongly recommending that ALL water be boiled vigorously for one minute before it is consumed or used for cooking.
That alert is still in effect for that area.
But to that end, we wanted WJTV viewers, WJTV Facebook friends, and our followers on Twitter to take a look at the link below.
It is the most current information from the state of Mississippi on current and past boil water advisories/alerts for any impacted area.
When the alert in Pike county is lifted, we will let everyone know as soon as that happens.
