People injured in Lusters Gate Rd. crash in Blacksburg

BLACKSBURG -

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office 911 center received a report of a two-vehicle crash in the 2100 block of Lusters Gate Road.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, Blacksburg Fire Department, and Blacksburg Rescue Squad members all responded to the scene.

A Nissan Sedan and a Chevrolet work truck were involved in the crash, and injuries were suffered by individuals in both vehicles.

Both Blacksburg Rescue Squad and Lifeguard were used to take the patients to the hospital.

The Sheriff's Office, with the assistance of the Blue Ridge Regional Crash Reconstruction Team, is investigating the crash to determine the cause.  

Lusters Gate Road is closed between the two Woodland Hills entrances, and investigators hope to re-open the road between 5:30-6:00 p.m.
