JACKSON - 3500 individuals took part in the seventh annual Mississippi Blues Marathon Saturday. And despite runners from everyone of the 50 states as well eight foreign countries, the overall winner was Madison's Ryan Henderson with a time of 2 hours 43 minutes and 26 seconds.
The Top female finisher was Lindsey Pierret of St. Louis Park, MN with a time of 3 hours 15 minutes and 23 seconds.
The home-course advantage was evident as the fourth and fifth place male finishers respectively were Natchez' Jack Daly with a time of 2 hours 55 minutes and 53 seconds and Thomas Lilleyman of Vicksburg who clocked in at 2 hours 55 minutes and 55 seconds.
