President Obama congratulates NBA Miami Heat

Posted: Updated:
President Obama welcomed the NBA champion Miami Heat back to the White House congratulating them on winning their second title in as many years.

During the ceremony the president also received a gift.  The pro basketball team gave Obama a Heat jersey of his own.  The jersey had ‘POUTS’ written on the back along with the number 44, representing Obama as the 44th president.

Before arriving at the White House the players visited with wounded service members recuperating at an area military hospital.

Obama says it's an example of the charitable work the players do year-round.
