RALEIGH, N.C. -

A Raleigh man is dead after being shot outside a nightclub on Capital Boulevard early Sunday morning.

Officers were dispatched to Flashbacks Sports Bar & Lounge at 4004 Capital Blvd. around 4:07 a.m. Sunday in response to a shooting.

When they arrived, they found 22-year-old Michael "Tank" Tavon Tolbert suffered from a gunshot would to his left calf.

Tolbert was transported to WakeMed where he later died.

Raleigh Police say another individual who is known to have been involved in the incident remained at the scene to await police arrival.

Detectives are conducting follow-up investigative work that is expected to take several days to complete.

Police say no arrests have been filed.

Anyone with information that may help in the investigation is asked to call the Raleigh Police Department's tip line at (919) 834-HELP.
