Comedian Bill Cosby, most known for his 1980's sitcom "The Cosby Show," as returning to the small screen.

CNN reports Cosby will return to NBC with a new sitcom, where he will play the patriarch of a multi-generational family.

"The Cosby Show" ran for eight years on NBC. No other details about the new show are known at this time.
