Fire damages Fayetteville home

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -

Fire officials are investigating a house fire at 1272 Bromley Drive in the Summer Hill subdivision in Fayetteville.

Initial reports indicate that the fire started around 10 p.m. Tuesday night in the fireplace and chimney of the two-story house. The fire then spread to the attic.

The home sustained substantial damage to the attic and roof area, but not estimate of cost of damage is known at this time.

Two people who were inside the home at the time were able to get out safely and no injuries were reported.
