Divide arms financial organizations with secure productivity tools

BankWest, a 124-year-old institution in South Dakota, sought a solution to make the company more responsive and efficient by leveraging the growing number of employee-owned smartphones and tablets at the bank. After much time and research, they selected Divide's FIPS-validated encrypted container to separate corporate and personal information and comply with FDIC regulations on protecting customer data.

By using Divide, BankWest was able to provide a business tool that allowed its employees to conduct business more quickly using the devices they love. The bank was also able to deploy Divide immediately thanks to Divide's simple set-up and responsive support team.

"Divide was just an all-around BYOD solution that worked right out of the box. It was simple for users and easy for managing," said Jeremy Scott, communications system administrator at BankWest. "I haven't found another product that met all of our needs."

Scott said employees love the Divide experience and are communicating more with customers and each other, getting more work done outside of the office. Divide is also helping the bank cut its mobility budget by offloading hardware, voice and data costs.

The BankWest team researched the entire Gartner Mobile Device Management Magic Quadrant but concluded that none of the options were quite right for a BYOD deployment at BankWest, until they tried Divide.

"I couldn't believe after everything that I had been through that this app was that easy to install and manage," Scott said. "Everything was inside of the container and secured. All of our requirements had been met."

BankWest's successful BYOD deployment underscores the value Divide brings to financial organizations. Divide serves finance companies of all sizes from small banks to Fortune 100 companies, helping them to protect their sensitive corporate data. The Divide platform was built by former Morgan Stanley mobile IT executives and is designed to help customers remain compliant with all regulatory requirements.

"Divide's ability to balance strict security with productivity and usability makes it a powerful tool, especially for industries that have high regulatory requirements," said Andrew Toy, CEO of Divide. "Divide allows financial companies to confidently deploy BYOD knowing their data is safe and their workers have the best mobile productivity tools."
