WJTV News Channel 12 - Roy Williams, Reggie Bullock in Kinston to watch Brandon Ingram

Roy Williams, Reggie Bullock in Kinston to watch Brandon Ingram

Posted: Updated:
KINSTON, N.C. -

In Friday Night Hoops we make the short trip to Kinston because both UNC Coach Roy Williams and former Tar Heel Reggie Bullock were at tonight's game. The Tar Heels are among those recruiting top prospect Brandon Ingram and they were there to see him once again tonight. Kinston has a history of sending guys to Chapel Hill; Jerry Stackhouse, Reggie Bullock and maybe Brandon Ingram will be next in line....

The Junior won state championships in his first two years and if you've watched 9 on Your Side at all this year you know how good he his. Ingram had 25 points tonight to lead Kinston to a 80-51 victory over Ayden-Grifton.

In Bethel, it was senior night for the North Pitt Panthers who played host county rival Farmville Central. After winning four straight, North Pitt had a chance at first place in the 2A Eastern Plains Conference. Farmville Central ended those hopes tonight. The Jaguars won 68-61. They remain in the drivers seat of that conference.

For highlights from both these games check out 9 on Your Side at 11!
