MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Feb. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- MobileIron, a leader in security and management for mobile apps, content, and devices, announced that it has been vetted by the Federal Government's Managed Mobility Program by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) and identified as a source of supply for Mobile Device and Application Management.
This news follows the announcement in December that MobileIron is part of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) contract for Mobile Device Management (MDM) / Mobile Application Store (MAS) that was awarded to Digital Management, Inc. (DMI).
The GSA determined that MobileIron demonstrated an understanding of the government's functional Mobile Device Management and Mobile Application Management (MDM/MAM) as measured against the federal requirements that reflect the federal security baseline, and has demonstrated leadership in the mobile market space with recent wins. MobileIron is also FIPS 140-2 compliant. For more information, please visit http://www.gsa.gov/managedmobility.
