Metallix named Pitt County Industry of the Year

GREENVILLE, N.C. - A local precious metals refining company was named Pitt County's Industry of the Year.

Metallix Refining Incorporated received the honor Tuesday from the Pitt County Development Commission.
      
The company, which recycles metals such as gold, silver, platinum and others, operates 24/ and processes over 3.5 million pounds of material a year.
     
The company moved to Greenville just over 10 years ago and plant manager John Santos says this is his home and where he plans to retire.

Metallix is also a big supporter of many charities in our area, includng the Pitt County Boys and Girls Clubs and the Ronald McDonald House.
