OAKTON, Va., Feb. 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T Government Solutions (AGS), a division of AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T), and the unit within AT&T that serves a wide range of federal agencies, today announced it was awarded a $12 million contract by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to provide managed wide area network (WAN) services, specifically multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) for virtual private networks (VPNs), as well as voice services to 95 FDIC office locations nationwide.
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) preserves and promotes public confidence in the U.S. financial system by insuring deposits. It promotes safety and soundness by monitoring, identifying and addressing risks to the nation's banks and savings associations.
