Greenville development meeting

Posted: Updated:
GREENVILLE, N.C. - On Thursday, NC DOT and City of Greenville officials hosted an open forum on the Dickinson Avenue Improvements Project.

People joined them at the Sheppard Memorial Library to offer their input on the project.

The plan includes improvements to the drainage and pavement along Dickinson Avenue from Memorial Drive to Reade Circle.

It also includes proposals for bicycle lanes and pedestrian walkways.

Project Engineer Charles Cox says these improvements are intended to revitalize Greenville’s former tobacco district.

Cox says the project is being coordinated alongside the Tenth Street Connector Project.
