Man, 40, shot inside Fayetteville home

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -

A man is listed in serious condition after being shot Monday inside a home in Fayetteville, police said.

Officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a shooting call around 4:40 p.m. to a residence in the 200 block of Irene Street, police said.

Andre Tramaine Womack, 40, had been shot by an unknown suspect who fled the scene, according to police.

Womack was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and then to the UNC Health System in Chapel Hill, where he is listed in serious condition.
