RALEIGH, N.C. -

Raleigh police are asking for public assistance in locating a light-colored sedan seen in surveillance footage taken shortly after a woman was hit and killed on Capital Boulevard on March 20.

Cornelia Olero Amissah, 64, was hit by multiple vehicles and killed around 7 a.m. The driver of one vehicle stopped and remained at the scene while the driver of the light-colored sedan left the area.

Police said the light-colored sedan can be seen driving left to right by a convenience store in the 3100 block of Capital Boulevard. From a different camera angle, the vehicle can be seen coming to stop. The driver of the vehicle exits the vehicle at the 30 second mark and renters the vehicle at the 48 second mark.

Raleigh police said the vehicle has not been confirmed to be involved in the incident but the driver’s actions require it be located.
