PINK HILL, N.C. - Narcotics detectives from the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a suspected meth lab in the 1000 block of Jonestown Road in Pink Hill, NC.

Detectives found the lab after a concerned citizen called to say he saw something suspicious in the home.  During a search of the home the detectives say they located drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine production materials and tools.

Detectives say they believe the suspect was manufacturing meth over the last couple weeks with these materials.  They found one suspected lab in the home and another in a vehicle on the property.

Edward Blalock, 30, was arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession/distribution of methamphetamine precursors and maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances.  He is being in the Lenoir County Detention Center under a $500,000 secured bond.

Sheriff Chris Hill says the concerned citizen did the perfect thing by reporting something suspicious.
