KENANSVILLE, N.C. - A Faison man is accused of cooking up meth.

Deputies say when they received a report about possible illegal drug activity at a home on Warren Road back on March 22, they found Robert Kelly manufacturing Methamphetamine.

After he left the home with a female visitor, they conducted a traffic stop and found Schedule II (Methamphetamine) in the vehicle.  That led to a search of Kelly’s home, where deputies located several components used for making Methamphetamine inside along with the strong odor of anhydrous ammonia.

Kelly was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Manufacturing Methamphetamine, PWISD Methamphetamine, Possession of a Firearm by Felon, Possession of Precursor Chemicals, and Maintaining a Dwelling for Purpose of Manufacturing a Controlled Substance.  His bond was set at $260,000.
