GRANTSBORO, N.C. - Walmart will hire about 150 associates this summer for a new store in Grantsboro.

A temporary hiring center has opened at 10628 Highway 55 E.

They’re accepting applications Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can apply at http://careers.walmart.com.

As part of Walmart’s Veterans Welcome Home Commitment, the company will offer a job to any qualified veteran who has been honorably discharged within the past 12 months. Find out more at http://walmartcareerswithamission.com.

The store will hire both full and part-time associates. “I am excited to meet potential associates and bring good jobs and career opportunities to the community,” said store manager Aljeana Staples.

It’s expected that most new associates will begin work in June to help prepare the store for its grand opening.
