CLEARWATER, FL (WFLA) -

Video posted by the Clearwater Police Department on its Facebook page shows a peacock admiring - and pecking at - its reflection in a patrol car window.

Clearwater police say that while out on patrol Thursday morning, Officer Stephanie Vilar found a male peacock checking out its reflection in her car's hubcap and rear window.

The male peacock is evidently quite enamored with its reflection, and tries numerous times to peck at it. At one point, he stops and lets out several distinctive, haunting cries. Officer Vilar recorded the interaction and posted it on YouTube.
