Police: Known drug dealer tried to run over police personnel

GREENVILLE, N.C. - Greenville Police catch a man after they say he tried to run officers over.

This happened Monday afternoon in the parking lot of the Cash ‘N Carry on Old Pactolus Road.

Officers had approached 33-year-old Najja Miller because he is a known drug dealer to police. His last arrest was in February.

Police say Miller then became “aggressive” and tried to drive away ramming into a cop car and trying to run over officers.

Miller crashed his car two miles away.

He was treated at Vidant Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries. As of Monday night, he's still there listed in fair condition.

His charges break down as follows:

Greenville Police have since charged Miller with the following:

Felony Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill (2 counts)

Conspire to traffic cocaine by possession (2 counts)

Conspire to traffic cocaine by transportation (2 counts)

PWISD cocaine (3 counts)

Maintain vehicle / possession of Drug Paraphernalia (2 counts)

Conspire to sell/deliver cocaine

Highway Patrol responded due to the fact that the crash occurred outside of city limits. They have additionally charged Miller with the following:

Reckless Driving

Speeding 100/55

Unsafe Tires

Passing on the Right

Left of Center

Failure to Stop for Blue Lights and Siren Felony Speed to Elude Arrest Seat Belt Violation Aggressive Driving
