WASHINGTON COUNTY, TN (WJHL) -

An Afton man faces drug charges after Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies found a large quantity of Xanax pills, as well as a syringe and marijuana, in his possession during a traffic stop Tuesday evening.

According to a WCSO news release, deputies and a K9 unit stopped a DUI suspect, Lincoln Young, 24, 1153 Ripley Island Road, on Highway 11E at McMackin Drive.

Deputies said the K9 unit during the stop found a large pill bottle that had reportedly fallen out of Young’s pants leg.

According to the release, the bottle had 465 Xanax pills. The street value of the pills was reported to be approximately $2,790.

A small bag of marijuana and a syringe were also found in Young’s sock.
