Tiny deer typically found in Asia turns up in the Sunshine State

Posted: Updated:
FLORIDA - A type of deer typically found in Asia popped up in Florida this week.

Sydney is a four-month-old muntjac deer.  He makes deer that we're used to seeing look like giants.

A woman found him wandering around her yard after he escaped from his enclosure.  Now, a wildlife rescue group is taking care of Sydney while his owner obtains the proper permits.  Sydney has even made a little friend Wiggles the goat.

Sydney is not expected to get much bigger.  When he's full grown he should be around 40 pounds.
