ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. -

Rocky Mount police arrested two people on murder charges in connection with the death of a man found at a motel Thursday.

William Richard Gingras, 34, and Natasha Maria North, 21, were arrested Friday morning in Weldon, police said. Both have been charged with first-degree murder and common law robbery, police said.

Police said Gingras and North killed 40-year-old Larry Earl Armstrong.

Armstrong was found by Rocky Mount police after officers responded to a call about an unresponsive man at the Sunshine Inn at 1621 N. Wesleyan Blvd. around 10:30 a.m.

The body has been sent to the Medical Examiner’s Officer for an autopsy, police said.

Gingras and North are being held at the Nash County Jail with no bond.

Rocky Mount police said Gingras and North are thought to be originally from Massachusetts, but are currently homeless.
