RALEIGH, N.C. -

Tickets remain available for the Band Together concert Saturday as Hall and Oates headline the annual party with a purpose – a fundraiser for a local charity.

The weather is expected to be beautiful on Saturday, with a high of 74 and low of 50.

“Ticket sales have been good,” said Matt Strickland, executive director of Band Together. “With the weather looking as beautiful as it will be, we’ll have a last-minute surge.”

This year, the concert will be at Walnut Creek Amphitheatre.

Tickets start at $24 in the half-price area and go up to the Gold Circle, which is $95.

Daryl Hall and John Oates, the celebrated duo from Philadelphia, are the featured act. Also performing will be Robert Randolph & The Family Band and local favorite Jack the Radio.

This year’s concert benefits Communities in Schools of Durham and Wake County. Strickland said those organizations focus on finding students who need help and giving them a strong support structure.

“They are setting these kids on a path for success,” Strickland said.

Doors open at 6 p.m. All tickets will be in the Pavilion – there will be no lawn seating.

You can get more information on tickets here.

Band Together started in the Triangle after the Sept. 11 attacks, after some local leaders wanted to find a way to make a difference in the community. The effort uses music as a platform for social change. The effort has raised nearly $3 million so far and hopes to raise $1 million this year.
